It takes tremendous courage to speak up about domestic violence in any case.\u00a0 When the alleged offender is a senior law enforcement official \u2013 and Schneiderman is alleged to have reminded his accusers that he was just such an official \u2013 the fear of reporting is understandably amplified.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Schneiderman was supportive of the #MeToo movement and spoke out against violence against women. But we know that many people who are abusive in intimate relationships wear a very different face in public.<\/p>\n<p>We say loudly to all victims \u2013 however and whenever they choose to disclose
